However, people are not satisfied with the existing performance of ABS, and the research on ABS modification has been carried out extensively, and the relevant information published is not small. For example, the blister sheet of automobile instrument panel made by blending ABS and PVC, and the cover of imitation leather luggage made by blending ABS and PVC, not only have high strength and toughness, but also can maintain the durability of surface patterns. This blended material is filled with ultrafine calcium carbonate or ultrafine talc powder, which can significantly improve the notched impact strength and tear resistance of the blended material, for example: adding ultrafine calcium carbonate 5-15%, notched impact strength It can be increased by 2-4 times. Since ABS is an amorphous polymer, it has the function of accommodating more fillers. 5. Application in nylon resin: For nylon (polyamide), special attention is paid to the toughness and wear resistance of this plastic in the industry. Nylon is generally hard, horny-like, with good abrasion resistance and high dimensional stability. These properties can be further enhanced by fillers or reinforcing agents. The hardness, stiffness, wear resistance and heat distortion temperature of PP66 are higher in nylon; PP6 is known for its higher toughness; PP610 has lower water absorption and thus higher dimensional stability; PP11 has the highest impact strength in nylon . Among various fillers, talc with layered structure can improve the original good properties of nylon, and the improvement of wear resistance is the most important. Compared with metal, unfilled modified nylon has low elastic modulus, low tensile and creep strength, and mechanical properties are significantly dependent on temperature. The molecule contains water-absorbing gene amine group, which has high water absorption rate, and the product is easy to absorb water during use. Expansion deformation, rapid cooling and incomplete crystallization during processing and molding, and still crystallization during use, which leads to product deformation and even cracking. The above shortcomings of nylon can be greatly improved by adding superfine talc masterbatch. Talc has the function of a nucleating agent, which can increase the crystallization rate of nylon and increase the degree of crystallinity after adding; therefore, it can especially improve the toughness of nylon. , mechanical strength, hardness, thermal stability, dimensional stability, improve product surface quality and deformation behavior, also have a good impact on moisture absorption, electrical properties and chemical properties. Application in polyvinyl chloride resin: Filling polyvinyl chloride with ordinary powder has been widely used, such as the manufacture of rigid polyvinyl chloride pipes, the filling amount reaches 40%, but the tensile strength and impact of polyvinyl chloride The strength must be reduced. For example, according to the literature: adding powder to 100 parts of polyvinyl chloride, when added to 7.3 parts by volume, the tensile strength is reduced from 252kg/cm2 to 215kg/cm2; when added to 13.5 parts by volume, the tensile strength The strength number is reduced from 252kg/cm2 to 204kg/cm2; when added to 35 parts by volume, the tensile strength is reduced to 150kg/cm2; however, if the added powder particles become smaller (such as 5 microns, 2500 mesh), add to At 40-45% volume fraction, it can be found that the yield strength of the material is even higher than the original fracture strength, and the average particle size of 5 microns (2500 mesh) flake talc, even at high content, is not suitable for polyvinyl chloride systems.
